I talked to the repair shop today – it seems my car (oh woe is me) won’t be ready until at least next Thursday! I get to enjoy my rental for another week.
Really, I am sorry that the accident happened…I’m just trying to make the best of it (stop laughing!).
I figure I may as well make the best of this; unfortunately, my car won’t ever be quite the same.
And tomorrow, we head off for Washington, DC. We are participating, as a family, in the National Walk for Epilepsy on the National Mall. It should be quite a fun experience. This is the first time that we’re taking the kids – and our parents. We shall see how this goes – if Sophie does well, we might actually be able (FINALLY) to take her on trips with us. That would be absolutely incredible.
Last year, when we participated in the Walk, there were at least 5,000 people (I think). It was fantastic. There was music, some mascots (i.e., the Baltimore Oriole) and a LOT of information on products and services. There were TV cameras and camera crews. It was absolutely incredible to see everyone out there. I’m looking forward to this; it will be wonderful to be in the midst of people who know what we face with our daughter.
