Gratitude

I’m grateful for friends who love me.

I’m grateful for peace and quiet.

I’m grateful for good books and time at night to read them.

I’m grateful for a chance to “catch up” on my sleep.

I’m grateful for a weekend away – and for my own place.

They love me…they really love me!

My friends are sweethearts! I cried out for help recently and they ran to me! They gave up their weekend and came down – yes they had fun with me, but they let me vent, they gave up previous plans, and they took the time to drive for 4 hours to get to me. They took me out, let me vent, suggested ways to help myself (and outside sources as well), and generally lifted me up!

I love my friends!

The sound of pure joy…

It is 9:44 pm, my daughter (16 months) is still squealing with joy…and I am so very grateful.  She’s been so quiet and solemn for so long…I wondered if I would ever hear this.    I cannot even begin to describe what I’m feeling today.

Today, she’s been squealing, she smiled all day, she’s started picking up her cup and drinking out of it.  The progress that she’s made since she started her injections is UNBELIEVABLE.  I am so grateful for medical science.

I could listen to those squeals forever…
